PITCH-IN CANADA
With the arrival of Spring, Pitch-In Canada Week is just around the corner.
Join us by ‘pitching in’ April 20-26 (or anytime throughout the year).
It’s that time of year when thousands of volunteers across Canada ‘pitch-in’ by getting out there and staying active by participating in pitch-in efforts to clean up streets, sidewalks, pathways, parks, trails and waterways from litter. If this week doesn’t work for your schedule, you are more than welcome to choose another time that works for you.
Each year volunteers take part and pitch-in to support clean and #litterfree communities. In 2021, Canada wide - over 550,000 volunteers took part in more than 28,000 individual clean ups, resulting in 3.7 million pounds of litter being removed from parks, streets and waterways.
If you’d like to “PITCH-IN” and pick litter and debris from our streets, parks, pathways, trails and waterways, you can register your commitment by emailing pwinfo@gananoque.ca with the location of your pitch-in project, name and contact information.
Free pitch-on bags are available at Town Hall, the Public Works Office and Public Works Yard for those interested in “pitching in”. Free curbside collection of the yellow pitch-in bags is provided.
Thank you all in advance for PITCHING-IN and helping to make our beautiful Town litter free.
