Town Staff and Council undertake a very detailed and often difficult task of drafting Operating and Capital Budgets for the Town each year. The process involves determining which services provided by the Town are in demand or considered a priority by the community. Through the budgeting process, funds are allocated to appropriate projects. Town Council and Staff work diligently to produce reasonable budgets that result in a reasonable and fair trade-off between projects and available funds. The budgets allow Town staff and Council to determine the necessary property tax levy each year.
