During culture days Heather will be inviting attendees to visit her Artist’s Studio. She will be working on a number of paintings allowing people to watch her process and ask questions. It’s your chance to see behind the curtain and get a glimpse inside her mind! The walls will be filled with a variety of paintings and if the weather is nice she will open her back garden for viewers to see a mural created by the artist, Drillo (professional artist Whitney Montgomery).
Location: 145 Charles St North, Gananoque, K7G 1T9
About Heather
Heather Haynes
Heather Haynes creates social justice art tackling issues of gender inequality. She believes that the most certain way for our world to recover environmentally, economically and socially, is to support, empower, and educate young girls; and yet females continue to face inequality, violence and fear, especially in developing countries. Heather has dedicated the last half of her art career to raising funds and creating artworks to empower and eduction women and children who are living in the war affected areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo. She is the founder of The Art of Courage non-profit. Heather is currently working on a number of different painting series after taking a breather from her last Art show “Finding Frida”.
