The Thousand Islands Parkway Trail Advisory Committee (TIPTAC) invites you to get outside and go for a walk on Family Day Weekend (Feb 17, 18 & 19) because, well, because it's good♥️ for all of us!
For fun and as an added incentive, we'll have a campfire each day at Brown's Bay, with free hot chocolate and storytellers. Please come for the warmth of the fire and the community and stay for the stories. Storytelling to begin at 2pm.
You're encouraged to walk along the 1000 Islands Parkway trail between the Jones Creek trailhead and Mallorytown Landing. You don't have to walk the whole distance, of course. Could be a small stretch of it, could be the whole thing, could even be none at all!
Everyone is welcome at the campfire at Brown's Bay to gather, socialize, enjoy some hot chocolate and hear stories about the area --even if you don't do a walk. Everyone asks, so I'll add that there will be a porta-potty at Brown's Bay.
Our main message is: It's gonna be fun!
