Blue Box Recycling - Gananoque Transitions March 31st

Public Notices

Gananoque's blue box recycling program transitions March 31st and will be managed by Circular Materials, the administrator of the common collection system and a national not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Ontario.

Emterra Group will be the new contractor for your recycling curbside collection starting March 31st, 2025.

Emterra, Circular Materials and Town Staff are working together to make this a smooth transition. What you can recycle and alternate week schedules will not change.

Collection days will change March 31st - your current recycling day will move forward ONE day. Recycling collection east of Stone St will have Tuesday collection, while recycling collection west of Stone St will become Friday. This change works out well come March 31st as it means your recycling and garbage will go to the curb the same day. This will take effect March 31st.

Keep in mind there will be 2 different contractors – one for garbage and one for recycling.

We will do our very best to keep you in the loop along the way of this provincial transition. Visit www.gananoque.ca and www.circularmaterials.ca for more information.
