THE STUDY
The Town of Gananoque has initiated a Stormwater Management Master Plan under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) process. The purpose of this study is to guide future planning and investments in the Town’s stormwater infrastructure in order to support sustainable economic growth and development in the community.

INFORMATION
Stakeholders will have the opportunity to review materials and updates throughout the study on the Town website: www.gananoque.ca.

COMMENTS
Public and agency consultation is a key part of the process and input will be sought throughout the study to inform the evaluation of alternative solutions. A mailing list is being prepared for those interested in receiving notices on study updates and opportunities for public input. The Town is conducting this study according to the requirements of Phase 1 and 2 of the MCEA process which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. This study will be used as support for subsequent Schedule ‘B’ and Schedule ‘C’ MCEA projects identified in the Master Plan (Approach 1).

The Town will collect information in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Except for personal information, all comments will become part of the public record.
