Acting Chief Rich Swann has 28+ years of policing experience. He has held various roles with the service including, community safety officer, major case manager, sexual assault and crimes against children investigator, and major incident command. He was born and raised in Gananoque, and is a familiar face within the community.
Additionally, Acting Chief Swann is the service representative on various working groups, committees and Ministry programs such as Major Case Management, violent Crime Linkage, Domestic Violence Advisory Committee and Sexual Assault Investigators Association of Ontario. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2015 and has made significant contributions into operational and administrative projects and day-to-day operations over his career.
