Special Council Meeting | Gananoque Intermediate Secondary School

To recognize Local Government Week October 13th to 19th 2024, in Gananoque, Council held a Special Meeting at Gananoque Intermediate Secondary School (GISS) on Tuesday October 22, 2024.

The Mayor and members of Council introduced themselves to the Grade 10 Civics Students.

The Town’s Senior Management Team each provided high-level PowerPoint presentations of their Departments.

Council passed a By-law authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign an agreement with Fidelity Engineering & Construction Inc., for the procurement and services to complete the rehabilitation of the Water Street Retaining Wall, to an upset limit of $653,299 (inclusive of HST).

Council passed a By-law authorizing the Mayor and the Clerk to sign an agreement with Kingdom Construction Ltd., to undertake the refurbishment and expansion of the East End Sewage Pumping Station (EEPS) located at 815 King Street East, to an upset limit of $8,035,987 (including the Town’s portion of HST).

Council received for information the year-to-date Community Grant Program funding overview report.
