Jane Hess, EKIOC Coordinator, presented a Power Point Presentation entitled “Every Kid in Our Communities (EKIOC) of Leeds & Grenville” to Council for information.
Council passed motions to amend the General Fees and Rates By-law to include user fees for the following:
One (1) waste tag per bag of yard waste collected curbside.
One (1) waste tag per bag of waste disposed at the Gananoque Municipal Marina waste enclosure for customers. And further, that seasonal slip holders shall be allotted ten (10) bag tags for the 2025 season.
Council repealed By-law Nos. 1963-1504 and 1964-1530, being By-laws licencing billiard, pool and bagatelle tables.
The new General Fees and Rates By-law No. 2025-015, was read a first and second time and will be considered and read a third time on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
A By-law was passed to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign a three (3) month lease agreement extension with MyFM Broadcasting Corporation for a portion of 110 Kate Street.
Council passed a Motion to pass a By-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign an Agreement with Lasalle Electric to complete the renovation and improvements of the electrical infrastructure for the 300 and 500 series of docks to the Municipal Marina electrical infrastructure feeding the main building and the docks. The By-law will be read on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Council passed a Motion to reconsider the University Hospitals Kingston
Foundation (UHKF) request for funding for $75,000 over a two (2) year period. This item will be brought back to Council for consideration on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
The Town 2025 Operating and Ten (10) Year Capital Plan Budgets (2025-2034), 2025 Water / Wastewater Operating and Ten (10) Year Capital Plan (2025-2034) and 2025 Downtown Business Improvement Area (BIA) Budgets were read a first and second time and will be considered and read a third on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
