- Two Public Meetings for Class III Development Permit Applications were held and Council passed Motions providing no objection to:
- 665 Charles Street North (Public Works Department, Town of Gananoque) to erect an accessory 216m2 coverall structure. The application proposed relief for an increase in height from 4.5m to 6.9 m, and;
- 350 Stone Street South (Debbie and Silvio Conte) to permit one Short-Term Accommodation rental with one (1) bedroom.
- George Smitherman, Health Workforce Innovations Inc., appeared before Council and discussed a PowerPoint presentation titled “Physician Recruitment and Health Human Resources”. Council passed a motion supporting in principle, the Ready Program, as presented.
- Council passed a By-law authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Ontario Transfer Payment Agreement (TPA) with His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario regarding a funding grant in the amount of $491,389.00 for Next Generation 911 (NG911).
- A By-law was passed to appoint Andrew Dickson as the Town’s Fire Chief. Subsequentially, a further By-law was passed to amend the Municipal Law Enforcement Officials By-law No. 2018-010, to add Andrew Dickson, Fire Chief and Andrew Kent, Deputy Fire Chief.
- A By-law was passed to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign a 5-year Lease Agreement with the Pumphouse Creamery for a portion of 2 King Street East.
- Council approved a budget deviation of $75,802.50 (plus HST) for the Arthur Street project, for project management, contract administration, and on-site inspection costs.
- Council passed a By-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign an agreement with Municipal Water Solutions Inc., to develop a Stormwater Management Operations & Maintenance (O & M) Manual to an upset limit of $48,000 (Excluding HST).
- Council passed a By-law authorizing an agreement with Industrial Electrical Contractors Brockville Limited, to upgrade the program logic controllers at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to an upset limit of $242,052.88 (excluding HST).
- The Third (3rd) Quarter Water and Wastewater Report was received for Information.
- The 2024 Third (3rd) Quarter Financial Results with Accounts Payable and Capital Matters Pending budget variance and forecast was received for information.
- Council passed a motion to refer the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds & Grenville request for funding for equal access for sports and recreation for youth to the Community Grants Program.
- Council supported the Municipality of Wawa’s resolutions (dated 19 November 2024) regarding Redistribution of Land Transfer Tax Request for Support and Resuming the Assessment Cycle Request for Support.
